Air Quality Season is Here!

The 2015 Ozone season is upon us and as every year lasts from April through October.  This season is critical to retaining our “Attainment” designation for ozone.

With last year’s average, we exceeded the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Ozone Standard of 75 parts per billion (ppb). Attainment of the federal standard for ground-level ozone is based on a three-year average of the annual fourth highest, eight-hour reading at any one of the area’s three regulatory monitors.

You've listened to us - we want to listen to you!

Over the past four years, we've had numerous public meetings and events to help shape the transportation future of our region. We've grown to include new counties into the study area.

Have you ever wondered what the MPO does and why we have one?

Chances are you may have some questions about what exactly a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is and what we do within our region. While you may have heard about the MPO over the years, we are willing to bet you still have some questions about what we do, why we do what we do, and how you can be involved in helping shape the transportation future for our region.

Do you have a P.A.S.S. for Fiesta?

As San Antonio welcomes Fiesta 2015 with millions of people coming to visit our city for its rich cultural diversity and heritage, we want to encourage all participants to plan ahead for a designated driver.  Our highways and roadways will be filled with locals and tourists who have come to enjoy our great culture, so it is our desire for everyone who participates to arrive to and from their Fiesta destinations safely.

Designate that one person who has had no alcohol to be the hero for your celebration and arrive alive at Fiesta 2015.

MPO to undergo Federal Certification Review in April

Planning for our future transportation needs cannot be done in a vacuum. It requires public participation, input from our partner agencies, and a cooperative process that continually reexamines how our region is growing to make sure our plans reflect the challenges and opportunities around us.
