VIA's New Fare Structure Starts January 1, 2016

The new fare structure provides discounts for VIA’s riders, including a lower-priced Day Pass, a new 7-Day Pass, and an expansion to the reduced-fare eligibility to include active-duty members of the military.
VIA New Fare
VIA’s Day Pass has been reduced from $4 to $2.75, which means customers will be able to ride VIA for an entire day for what it would cost for one round trip with a transfer. In addition, a new 7-Day Pass will be available and will sell for $12.
VIA has also expanded the reduced-fare eligibility to include active-duty military personnel. Now members of the military will be able to take advantage of VIA’s reduced fares if they ride the bus while in uniform or with a VIA reduced fare ID card.
This is the first set of changes to VIA'S fare structure in almost three years. When the changes take effect on January 2016, VIA will still have among the lowest fares in the nation.

Located on the near West Side, the facility will improve accessibility to the city’s Central Business District, UTSA Downtown Campus and University Health System’s Robert B. Green Campus. The site will also include a modern plaza to facilitate route transfers, alleviate congestion and encourage new mixed-use development opportunities. Vision 2040 Survey

VIA Metropolitan Transit wants to know which areas of the region they should put their focus for future investments. Help VIA by telling them what key connections are most important to you, your family, your business and for your transportation needs. In their last survey, VIA asked residents of the region what types of transit elements were most important. This new survey builds upon the results they saw in the first survey. Take their short survey and make your voice heard!
