Each year, TxDOT recognizes programs and projects completed in the previous calendar year that demonstrate activities going above and beyond routine procedures to protect and enhance the natural and human environment. Check out the TxDOT projects that won Environmental Achievement Awards for being good stewards of the environment by reducing negative impacts on the environment.

SA Tomorrow's Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Join SA Tomorrow for a virtual town hall meeting on Monday, November 30, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The virtual town hall is an opportunity for citizens to discuss transportation in San Antonio and what makes a great street with several City leaders involved with the SA Tomorrow planning initiative.

Participate via the internet or from one of four viewing sites. While the virtual town hall is an online forum, the viewing sites option also allows people to be part of the event from a location in their community. The virtual town hall will be set up on a screen at these locations listed below and participants will be able to interact with a host/moderator. Translation services and/or special accommodations may be requested by contacting Sonia Jimenez at 210-354-2925 no later than Nov. 25.

 

Celebrating Centro Plaza at VIA Villa

The Centro Plaza (formerly referred to as the Westside Multimodal Transit Center) will be a hub for various VIA transportation services, including an anticipated Austin-San Antonio commuter rail, inter-city bus service and taxi service. Located on the near West Side, the facility will improve accessibility to the city’s Central Business District, UTSA Downtown Campus and University Health System’s Robert B. Green Campus. The site will also include a modern plaza to facilitate route transfers, alleviate congestion and encourage new mixed-use development opportunities.
