March 2015 Street Skills Classes Now Available

We have opened two new classes for our Street Skills program.

Street Skills is a free, 45-minute program for adults and mature teens who want to understand where they fit on the street. It will cover important street riding information in a quick, off-bike session.

Join fellow bicyclists (and bicycling new-comers) to learn from the MPO’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Planner in an informal, classroom-style presentation and discussion. The MPO’s Street Skills class will provide concrete examples of city cycling scenarios and how best to handle them so that you enjoy pleasant, stress-free rides.
Each class participant will receive a helmet and bike light set, thanks to funding through a 2015 TxDOT Safety Grant. Advance registration is requested of all participants; walk-in students are welcome but are not guaranteed a helmet and light set.
We hope you can join us on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 or Wednesday, March 18, 2015 for our next two classes. Each class will start at 6 PM and end by 7:30 PM. Classes are held at the MPO Office located at 825 S. St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, Texas 78205.
Each class is limited to 25 participants and seats fill up quickly. Reserve your spot today!
